Meet Aimee Stailey
MSW, LCSW, LICSW
I want to help others feel important, special and supported by providing professional counseling services.
My role in the therapy room is to create a safe and comfortable space for my clients to share problems and concerns without fear of judgment or criticism. I strive to build a trusting relationship where clients feel supported as we work towards identified treatment goals.
Open and honest communication is essential. When clients share their struggles honestly, we can work together to identify solutions. If their needs fall outside my scope of practice, I will provide appropriate referrals to ensure they receive the best possible care.
Seeking help for mental health is a sign of strength, not weakness. Just as we care for our bodies, tending to our mental well-being is essential for a balanced life.
The biggest misconception about mental health is the idea that people who seek help are broken. In reality, mental health struggles are part of being human, and they don’t define one’s worth. Our work is complicated and ever-changing, so seeking assistance to navigate life’s challenges, learn, and grow along the way is a sign of strength, not weakness. It’s about discovering our strength within, understanding ourselves more deeply, and finding ways to deal, heal, and move forward.
In my therapy room, I create a safe space for open exchanges and ensure everyone feels heard. I guide you through challenges, offering alternative coping mechanisms through therapeutic counseling. We can also explore practices like mindfulness and utilize regular mood checks to track progress.
The willingness to share, even when uncomfortable, is what I value most. Respect for everyone’s thoughts and feelings is paramount.
My therapy approach
You’ve held it together for so long—managing, showing up, doing the best you can. But inside, it feels like you're unraveling. Like you need space to breathe, to process, to figure out what’s next.
Therapy is that space. Using Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we’ll work together to help you find clarity and confidence again. My approach is Person-Centered—meaning I meet you where you are, without judgment, and tailor each session to fit your life.
For families, I offer Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), helping strengthen relationships and build deeper connections. Whether you’re seeking individual therapy, parenting support, or tools for managing stress, you don’t have to do it alone. I’ll walk with you—toward growth, healing, and lasting change.
I look forward to nurturing and building on strengths that make you uniquely you.
What I enjoy the most about what I do is seeing my clients make progress toward their own goals. It’s personally rewarding when I can reference our first session and highlight the growth I’ve observed. Witnessing clients gain confidence in their strengths is truly fulfilling.
There’s a misconception that those with mental health concerns can’t function in daily life. The stigma around “mental health” and “treatment” can make us feel “unhelpable” or inherently flawed. I believe anyone can work towards better mental well-being, regardless of challenges. Even when things seem good, there’s always more to learn or a new coping strategy to discover.
Mental health is about finding balance, meaning, and fulfillment in ourselves and the life we choose. When we feel mentally well, we feel confident in our ability to handle stressors effectively and interact positively with the world around us.
